1st Pregnancy Update @ Almost 7 Months? Terrible.

Wow, I can’t even believe I haven’t kept up with this! I had really wanted to, mostly so that I had something to keep me in check. So I didn’t pack on almost 60 lbs like when I was pregnant with Isla. So, to anybody that followed me/wondered where I had gone, sorry! 

Hhmm…Where should I start? Well, working at the launch ramp has really kept me busy/active. So much that I haven’t really gained any weight through this pregnancy. At the beginning my Doctor had been very concerned. So I started eating meat again (just through pregnancy and maybe some breastfeeding), and she had asked me to take in more fats and carbs. I was eating a pretty balanced diet and taking b12 supplements, so  I thought it was odd to ask me to up those two things. It’s not as if I had ever cut them out, or even lessened the amount I had ate, really. 

It hasn’t worked. When I say that “I haven’t really gained any weight” I mean I was losing in the beginning and have pretty much been just maintaining my weight. My last appointment I was told, based on my BMI (blech) I should have gained between 11 and 20 lbs by now. #1 I don’t feel like that’s right. I am only almost 7 months. Should I really have gained 20 lbs? and #2 Everything is fine with the baby (a girl! Name: Scarlett Briar) so I’m really not concerned. 

I think that I feel it’s just weird that like I’m a bigger girl still, but they’re pushing me to gain weight. I don’t know. Either way we’re both happy and healthy so I’m not concerned, and I start going to my OBGYN now so there’s no need for me to be concerned with trying to please them anymore. (I actually have a semi-funny, semi-pathetic story about that that I will save for later.)
